I’m excited to share that we’ve appointed Dr. Isaac Biney as the General Manager of Healthcare Services at Rivia, where he will lead all aspects of healthcare delivery across our growing network.
This includes oversight of our company-operated care locations like Dzorwulu and Labone, upcoming facilities in the pipeline, and partner-run sites such as Theresa’s Clinic in North Kaneshie and Koforidua Clinic in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Dr. Biney will be responsible for shaping the clinical, operational, and business strategy of our care delivery arm, an essential pillar of our long-term vision to build a trusted and branded scalable healthcare system powered by RiviaCare, our healthcare membership offering.

A Founding Partner Steps Forward
While he hasn’t always been on the frontlines, Dr. Biney is a founding team member of Rivia, and one of the earliest inspirations behind what we’re building.
I first met him in the consulting room of a small clinic in Accra (Theresa’s Clinic). His calm command, clinical brilliance, and thoughtful presence immediately stood out. When the call came to build a venture to improve healthcare for 1 billion people, he emerged as a natural partner.
We’re thrilled to now have him fully on board.
Who Is Dr. Isaac Biney?
Dr. Biney is a seasoned family physician with over 15 years of clinical experience in both public and private healthcare. He began his career at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Ghana’s and West Africa’s largest tertiary hospital and the third largest in Africa, and later served in leadership roles at district and regional hospitals across the country.
Most recently, he was the Founding Medical Director at Britannia Medical Centre, where he led clinical operations and care strategy. He’s tactful, emotionally intelligent, and deeply curious about the future of medicine. With a strong interest in technology and progressive care models, he brings a rare mix of heart and systems thinking to this work.

What He’ll Lead
As General Manager of Healthcare Services, Dr. Biney will lead the teams responsible for delivering care to RiviaCare members, including our virtual care team and on-site clinical staff, across both Rivia-owned and partner facilities. He will be at the helm of building the clinical and operational backbone of a system designed to make healthcare personal, proactive, and predictable at scale.

This decision followed thoughtful conversations with some of our investors, who offered helpful insights.
As we continue to position Rivia to close the massive healthcare delivery gap, through technology, memberships, and a people-first care model, I’m confident in Dr. Biney’s ability to lead with clarity, compassion, and execution discipline.
